The purpose of this study is to compare concordance of CT and MRI in evaluation of cystic renal masses using Bosniak classification version 2019. The purpose of this study is to compare concordance of CT and MRI in evaluation of cystic renal masses using Bosniak classification version 2019. From February 2011 to June 2012, 46 complex renal cysts were prospectively evaluated by three readers. Each mass was categorized according to the Bosniak classification and CT was chosen as gold standard. Kappa was calculated for diagnostic accuracy and data was compared with pathological results. The Bosniak classification system utilizes specific CT or MR imaging features to help classify cystic renal lesions into those that are likely benign (and do not require surgical resection) from those that are likely malignant (and thus require surgical resection).
