The Meditations (or Meditations on first philosophy) is a philosophical work by René Descartes, first published in Latin in 1641.From the perspective of the history of philosophy, Mediations are one of the most influential expressions of classical rationalism.

Today Descartes is most famous for his Meditations, especially for his sceptical arguments in the First Meditation, and his dualistic philosophy of the mind and body

Meditations. of René Descartes. In 1641 Descartes published the Meditations on First Philosophy, in Which Is Proved the Existence of God and the Immortality of the Soul.
